The other morning I woke up frustrated. Everything was feeling like too much. I’ve been on and off dieting for as long as I can remember. Depression, college, poverty, and overall lack of willpower had kept me from ever sticking to it. I recently picked back up, knowing that my weight is at an all time high (F/22/4’11/158lbs) and was only going to keep climbing if I didn’t change my habits. My doctor says I have high cholesterol, and I’m only 22! So anyways, I woke up feeling like I just wanted to give up. To top it off, I forgot my headphones at the gym. I worked out for ten minutes before letting the frustration win. I left, and got a fat meatball sub. I sat down and accepted that it was a “bad” day and that was that. A while after eating, I felt terrible. I got up and decided to run a mile. In doing this, I didn’t undo the damage totally. But I can say I got back up after feeling like I should just stay down. This time, I’ll make it because I’m done just laying down.
