Lost 60lbs and no longer feel like I'm suffering from my diet.

Back in the summer, I went on vacation with family and when I got home I realized that I didn't like how I looked in many of the pictures and that I should do something about it.

I work full time and am working towards getting a degree part-time, I leave home at 8 every day don't get home until 10:30 4 days a week. This meant I was eating out a lot, like lunch and dinner most days.

1st Attempt (2 weeks) - (No Change 260 lbs)

CICO: but ran into issues keeping track of calories since I was still eating out a lot, and smaller restaurants aren't required to list calories. (but I did learn the croissant I frequently had for breakfast has almost 600 calories 😭)

2nd Attempt: (4 months) - (down 40lbs to 220lbs)

OMAD: every day I stopped eating at many of the places that I used to frequent and stuck mostly with prepared food from Longo's (grocery store) I'm not certain if it's actually any healthier. I also replaced the sugar in my 5 cups of coffee a day with Splenda OMAD - every day including weekends

The Holidays (No Change)

The holidays hit me quite hard, I managed to at least maintain 220lbs which I think is pretty good, considering how much worse I was expecting.

2019 (4 months) - (down 20lbs to 200lbs)

I modified my diet to IF (noon to 4) on weekdays only, I'm still losing weight at about half the rate of before, but I feel like I'm suffering much less. If this continues I should be at my goal of 180lbs by the summer.

tl;dr

Down 60lbs in 7 months, 20 more to go. All with IF.
