I've been doing CICO for about 8 months now and today will be the last time I'm wearing my (formerly) thin pants because they have now become too baggy to be remotely flattering.
Yay!
This is not to say I'm exactly thin now. I'm still about 10kg (22lbs) away from my goal weight, but I have already lost 20 (44lbs) and I don't intend on stopping now. I think what helped me most to get here is taking it slowly. Often people will aim to lose at least 1kg a week, I'm doing a little more than 2 a month. Going slow allows me to slip up every now and again without getting completely discouraged. It also allows for a little more room to eat on a daily basis. Less hunger helps me to stick with it and achieve my goals.
I have never lost this much without feeling like I'm starving myself, even punishing myself for being fat. I feel strong and have so much more energy, even though I'm consuming significantly less.
So although this does mean I need to spend money on new pants, I am still very happy with my victory!
TLDR: Lost 20kg by doing CICO slowly. Goal of 2,5kg a month. May now need new thin pants.
