I've started working out two days ago and have gone to the gym twice. I plan on going to the gym three times a week and spending 2 hours each time.
However, my loved ones have expressed concern over what I've done the past two times. They say that because I'm very heavy, that I'll really injure myself. But I think that they're just trying to undermine me.
Anyways, this is what I've done each of the two times I've been to the gym this week.
30 minutes on treadmill, speed of 2 mph and incline at 7-8.
I put 20-30 pounds on the arm (20lbs), shoulders (30lbs) and chest (30lbs) weight machines. I do 10-15 repetitions. I haven't done more than one set.
I use 50-120 pounds on the lower leg (50-60lbs), back (60-80lbs) and thigh (80-120lbs) weight machines. I do 10-20 repetitions. I haven't done more than one set.
60lbs for the one abdominal weight machine there. I do 10 repetitions. No sets so far.
As a note, I've been doing my reps slowly instead of jerking the weights around or shoving them quickly. I also have been avoiding the free weights like a plague because I feel like I'll easily injure myself doing them. I've also been dealing with this weird top foot pain that comes and goes.
If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. I don't want to injure myself and continue to be a fat loser. Thanks.
