Context: I am a first year teacher. Previously (in college) I was super active. Student teaching enabled me to get in 10,000 steps per day, and I attended barre classes in the evenings. Now, I am remote teaching from my desk. The workload is so overwhelming that I sometimes struggle to get in 3,000 steps and more than 25 min of exercise.
I have gained 4 lbs since the beginning of quarantine. I am 5'6, and I previously weighed 122. I also have body dysmorphia, so i feel like it is super noticeable on me (idk if it's true). I also have a tendency to be neurotic, so I am super distracted by knowing I am bigger than I was when I started quarantine.
Am I being ridiculous about 4 lbs, or is it a noticeable enough weight gain to begin tracking calories, etc.? Also, any advice on being more zen about weight fluctuations?
Thanks in advance.
