What should my activity level be?

You know how calorie tracker apps ask your activity level? Well, I don't really exercise much, so I always put sedentary. Doing this however, my recommended amount of calories gets lower (the app puts it around 1600) But putting it to mildly active, the app raises it to 2,100.

Here's the thing. I don't exercise much, if not at all, but I do have a physically demanding job. I am a hospital housekeeper. I'm always on my feet and I'm always on the move. Because of my job, I imagine I burn some calories, therefore, need to eat a bit more for my body to have the energy to keep up.

I do notice a difference. When I do the sedentary amount, I am hungry when I get home. I do the mild activity amount, I don't feel hungry.

So, which one should I stick to?
