For some context, I already knew this was true. This time last year I was in the gym lifting 3x a week and with moving states and starting grad school I fell out of the habit. I’ve been getting myself back to it and getting back on track with my weightloss journey. But I really did not want to workout tonight. I just could not bring myself to go.
I finally convinced myself to stop whining and just go for a walk, some movement is better than nothing. And 45 minutes later and I feel so much more relaxed and happy. Shocker. It’s like when they tell us exercise makes us feel good they weren’t lying 😅
So long story short: Go get your movement in, you’re gonna feel better after. Even if getting started sucks in the moment.
