I (23F) am a couple months into my weight loss journey, and it has been a constant struggle with very little results. I lost five pounds in the first two weeks, and have not lost a single pound more since then.
It’s a huge struggle to stick to a strict diet and track my macros with any sense of accuracy when my boyfriend (22M) whom I live with eats completely different from myself. He can eat fast food, hamburger helper, pasta, etc. Anything he likes for dinner every night and never see a spare pound. Me? I have 45 more to lose, and the lack of progress is wearing me down.
I’m reaching a point where I’m considering attempting to meal prep every single meal, breakfast lunch and dinner, just so I don’t need to cook two different meals every night spending hours in the kitchen and come up with something that I can easily track the macros of whilst also cooking something completely different at the same time. It’s been so difficult not to slip back into unhealthy old mindsets in the last several months. I’m trying to cling to some kind of feeling of control in my life by controlling my own body, and I feel like I can’t even do that.
How many else of you have experienced, and those of you who have overcome this struggle and accomplished real bodily changes, how did you do it? Seriously in need of advice.
Thanks in advance!
