Hello redditors! My mom (62) just had back surgery and she needs to lose about 45 pounds/20kg rather quickly (but sustainably).
She can barely walk right now (literally has trouble standing up for more than 5 minutes) but that’s going to improve soon.
I understand food myself, but I never had to lose weight so I want to help without being too harsh (or an idiot).
Whats the best way to help someone who isn’t going to count calories in the long term?
