Hi everyone! I hope this is ok to post here, I've been lurking on this sub for quite a while and I finally decided to start posting! I'm a recent college graduate, beginning law school in the fall. For as long as I can remember, I've been overweight. Food was always my comfort through a rough childhood, my parents' divorce, and issues with depression and anxiety. I'm 5'2" and my lowest weight was 140 (I was a senior in high school at this weight). In college, I gained 35 pounds, 15 of which I've lost this summer doing good old-fashioned CICO. I'd like to lose 20 more to get back to 140, and then see from there how much more I need to lose.
Anyway, my question is (and I'm sorry this has gotten so long-winded), why don't I see much of a difference in my clothes? Sure, I wear jeans more often now because they're not painfully uncomfortable like when I was heavier, but they're the same size as the ones I wore 15 pounds ago. Is vanity sizing to blame? Or were my clothes just too small before and they fit now? Any and all insight is appreciated, thanks! :)
