The scale is a fickle bitch

Been lurking/reading for a while with no posts but wanted to share a non-scale win/perspective for anyone else busting their ass but not seeing the scale move. I have been working with a nutrition coach/program for about 3 months, maintaining a tough caloric deficit while training 90-120min CrossFit sessions 5x/week (I am part of our competitor program).

My TDEE is estimated around ~2700kcal/day and I’ve been eating ~2000. It’s really taking a toll on my performance but that’s fine and expected in exchange for fat loss. Mentally it’s harder to deal with changing some food habits (swapping out calorically dense foods like rice for lots of veggies) and major hunger.

Despite all the work and very few days of going over I have only lost 2lbs. I was about to lose my shit when my coach slid my comparison photos over. It has made me feel much better and like there actually has been some kind of progress.

For anyone interested: 29yo, 5’9, CW 187lbs, GW 165
