A few weeks ago a user here made a post where they called themselves a food addict. That post inspired me because thats something i have never thought of and i think i'm a food addict too. Considering i've been addicted to cigarettes, lottery tickets, coffee and diet pop (whether you want to agree to those being addictions or not) its not at all surprising that my weight problems would be based on this. Ofcourse this is not something thats been diagnosed (please don't bombard me for claiming to have an addiction etc. without a medical professional telling me) but when i have the desire to eat it is very similar to the desire to smoke and no i'm not talking about eating because you're hungry. I'm talking about the urge to snack when you ate a satisfying meal an hour ago. This realization has helped me reevaluate why i'm overweight and made me realize that i should approach loosing weight the same way i did to stop smoking while ofcourse eating enough food to be healthy. Anyway i hope this is helpful to anyone reading it.
