Zero motivation after I see that I’m actually gaining weight

My stats are: Sex: F A: 20 W: 71kg (now) H: 167cm

I’ve been trying for a month to lose weight, but it seems that my body simply resists the change. I usually make great efforts to eat in a caloric deficit, especially that I’m always hungry and I feel the need to have 3 large portions of food at a single meal. I try to reduce the amount of food and stay away from sweets. There are times when my attempt is not succesful and I would eat a little more during the day, but I make sure I compensate with exercise.

When it comes to physical activity, I’m following a 2-week cardio program which I plan to restart over and over. It’s nothing special about it and I exercise for 30 minutes almost daily, with several days off from time to time.

My biggest disappointment was finding out that I actually gained weight. I’m already overweight and that one kilogram makes me think that I’m doing something wrong and I really don’t want to gain five more kilograms without even realizing.

I’m feeling very hopeless and unmotivated in this journey. My back hurts after exercising (due to a medical condition) and I feel irritated because of my cravings and hunger, but all this effort seems to be pointless.

However, is it still normal to gain weight, even with dieting and exercising?
